This award looks to recognise the residential scheme that has had a significant positive social impact on the local community. The judges are looking for examples that go above and beyond the norm.

Entries will come from developers, housebuilders, contractors, local authorities and social housing specialists or other organisations that have led schemes transforming the social and economic health of an area and which have brought long-lasting benefits to the community.

For this entry you will highlight one North West project to be judged on and include full details on its aims, complexities and achievements. The judges will consider phased developments that have not fully completed for this award, but entries must demonstrate a measurable positive impact.

Entries are for specific projects worked on during the qualifying period. You may send multiple entries but they should be separate, and each will be judged on its own merits.

Qualifying period: 1st November 2025 – 31st October 2026

QUESTIONS

1. Give full details of the residential scheme upon which you wish to be judged. Identify complexities, challenges and achievements.
2. Describe the positive impact created during the construction phase (this can include but is not limited to: the number of local people employed; engagement with the local community)
3. Give examples of how the social benefits realised by the scheme are ongoing. What has been created at the scheme that will continue after it is fully occupied? (provide financial figures if appropriate – for example financial boost to local economy, job creation, etc)
4. Why should this scheme win this award?
5. Describe any key initiatives / investments you have made to make your business and the developments you undertake more environmentally and socially sustainable.
6. Explain the highlights for your business/association/institution over the past year (max 250 words)
